A Covenant Written Before We Knew
Brittaney & Daevion

Chapter one: The Date Heaven Marked
Daevion's Voice
Some stories begin with coincidence.
Ours began with divine appointment.
Before I asked for her number.
Before a FaceTime screen lit up with her smile.
Before we understood what it would mean. God had already written June 25th into our story.
Long distance refined us. It taught us patience and intentional love. Then I moved to New York.
On June 25th, 2022, I took her to Long Beach, a picnic by the ocean, our first official date without a screen between us. The waves felt like worship. The peace felt ordained.
What felt like a random day, turned out to be alignment.

Chapter two: The Love That Drew Us Closer to God
Brittaney's Voice
What made our story sacred wasn’t just romance, it was growth.
Daevion began coming to church with me. Curiosity became conviction. Conviction became surrender. And I watched his faith deepen in the most beautiful way.
The day he was baptized marked more than a moment, it marked transformation. Our relationship shifted from just love to purpose.
Later, at a gala, I donated a painting. When it went up for purchase, he bought it, not to own art, but to protect a piece of me.
That is devotion.
That is covering.
Each June 25th, we returned to the beach to celebrate the day we met.

Chapter three: The Covenant Spoken
Daevion's Voice
As my faith grew, so did my understanding of love.
On June 25th, 2025, I brought her back to Long Beach, the place where our story began.
Under the same sky, before the same ocean, I asked her to be my wife.
She said yes.
Marriage is not just romance. It is covenant. It is choosing daily to love the way Christ loves with patience, grace, and sacrifice.

Chapter four: The Sacred Pattern
June 25th is not coincidence.
It is confirmation.
June 25th, 2022 — Our first date.
June 25th, 2025 — Our engagement.
June 25th, 2026 — Our wedding day.
One date.
Three milestones.
One divine thread.
As if God circled a single square on the calendar and said,
“This is yours.”

Epilogue: Our Forever
We have grown.
We have prayed.
We have chosen one another again and again.
On June 25th, 2026, we do not simply say “I do.”
We enter something holy.
What God has joined together, let no one separate.
This is not just our love story.
It is our testimony.
